Bassirou Thiam
Building automation engineer, founder of Structio
Bassirou Thiam is a building automation engineer. He spent three years as an apprentice engineer at a building automation integration company in France, where he drew control network diagrams and points lists by hand, in Excel and Visio, job after job.
He then co-founded an automation agency building workflows and AI agents, before starting Structio to fix the problem he had lived: the riser, the points list and the other submittal documents typed again and again, and drifting apart when the job changes.
He writes the Structio guides from real specifications and from what controls contractors say about their work.
